SERVICE AND INSPECTION: FOR ROLEX WATCHES

"How Often Should I Have My Rolex Watch Serviced?"

There are three categories which most timepieces fall under which are New, Over 7 years old, and vintage. The age of your watch will generally determine what course of action you will take to service the watch and how often.

NEW WATCHES

If your watch is less than 7 years old service is unnecessary and not
recommended unless your watch is damaged or is not operating properly.

WATCHES OLDER THAN SEVEN YEARS

Generally, a complete service overhaul is recommended. Even if the watch is keeping time accurately it is necessary to make sure the watch is properly
lubricated and that no parts are degraded.

VINTAGE WATCHES

Unless the watch is running poorly service is not recommended. It is imperative to keep Vintage Rolex Watches with all their original parts and choose an independent watch repair facility that can deal professionally with vintage grade watches and will return all parts after replacement. Rolex keeps worn parts after replacement.
